About Elliot Isherwood
I am a Psychology teacher at Cardinal Newman College in England, which is rated "Outstanding" by Ofsted. I have been teaching psychology for over 6 years over several courses. My international background includes studying Psychology at Aston University in Birmingham and Studying Psychology at the Chinese University of Hong Kong.

Having travelled and lived around the world, I have has supported a very diverse group of people with different needs. This includes supporting students in England with Special Educational Needs and severe exam anxiety to removing phobias in Spain. This range of experience has taught me how every life is different and that there is no one way to live it.

I strongly believe that we are all doing our best. I strive to provide unconditional positive regard helping others feel accepted and valued. Equally, as no two lives are the same, no single solution solves all problems. I take a person centered approach so together you build on what works for you for the life that you want.

I am a twin and half English and half Spanish which helps me understand the value of different perspectives. Knowing the importance of exercise and learning new skills for the body and mind, I enjoy playing basketball and this year I have begun to learn to dance Salsa. I often reflect and work on achieving the right balance in life. It is very important to me to put my best foot forward and I pride myself in being professional and considerate.

Mission
My mission is to give unconditional tailored support that leads to positive long-term change. This is achieved by offering the first session free so that a positive relationship is built and there is a clear way forward. Secondly, this is achieved by providing occasional resources for clients to refer to that remind them of key take-aways so that they continue to benefit beyond the sessions.
Vision
Having someone who wants the best for you and has expertise could be the first step to meaningful and lasting change. Think back to the impact of your favourite school teacher, sports coach or a particularly caring medical doctor. My vision is for those in need to have someone that they can trust to support them and feel heard – I hope to be that person who offers that support with mental health and life skills.
